It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cletus Lane Carter (Forgan, Oklahoma), born in Liberal, Kansas, who passed away on February 20, 2019, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thelma "Nub" Eden and Arthur Carter; his daughter Deedra Carter; his sister Rochelle Carter Gardner; his wife Deborah Carter; his children, Todd Carter (Feliza) of Liberal, KS, Troy Carter (Jill) of Forgan and Tisha Carter of Hermeray, France; his sister Iva Dene Carter McCleary; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Taylor, Cassandra Van Noy, Lindsey Fields, Robert Vargas, Kodie Newsom, Shantel Vargas and Tanner Carter; his children, Ivan, Alex and Iris; and also, Mario and Carmen Jaquez of Forgan. He was also cherished by his nieces and nephew; six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Seward County Community College's Carter Science Foundation or the United Methodist Church of Forgan.
