She was predeceased by: her parents, Snowden Gilbert and Lutabel Gilbert (Hanks); her great grandchildren, Colten Burns and Edgar Hammons II; her son-in-law David Burns; her siblings, Susan Price (Ollie), Winston Gilbert (Doris) and Joseph Gilbert (Dixie); and her brother-in-law Thurman Bishop.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Townley; her children, Charles Gilbert Townley of Cyril, Vicki Burns of Cyril and Toni Burnett (Craig) of Midlothian, Texas.; and her grandchildren, Katrina Dennis (Chris) of Marlow, Stephanie Webb (Chris) of Cyril, Makalyn Burns of Cyril, Kristen Jones (Brady) of Weatherford, Courtney Snodgrass (Joseph) of Hunter, Nathan Townley (Echo) of Kingston and Kayla Bales (Glen) of Norman.
Peggy graduated from Elgin High School in 1950, an accomplishment that paved the way for her many contributions to the communities she touched.
