With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Velta Wingard of Fitzhugh, Oklahoma, born in Vici, Oklahoma, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 19, 2024 at the age of 88. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lynn Harold and Bertha Eloise Dalrymple McDonald; her husband Harold Gene Wingard; her brother Leo McDonald; and her stepbrothers, Pete and Glenn Miller.
She is survived by: her children, Lynda Roberts of Edmond, Sharon Phillips of Roff, Donna Silva of Colorado Springs, CO and John Wingard (Alina) of Oklahoma City; her brother Lee McDonald of Dallas, OR; her grandchildren, Megan Reid (Jacob), Michael Roberts (Brooke), Ricky Joe Phillips, Justin Phillips, Taryn Quy, Ava Quy and Evan Quy; and her great grandchildren, Mason Harris, Paislee Reid, Sutton Reid and Haskell Roberts.
