He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert McDaniel and Evolena Burrow McDaniel; his former wife Karen Machado; his brother-in-law Jere Hughes; and his great grandchildren, Nikol Edwards and Zaydek James.

He is survived by: his wife Pam Bogart; his children, Nichole Bogart of Seminole, Oklahoma, Marit (Darrell Edwards), Andrea (Nic Filz), Bree (Mark Carlson), Arlaina (Nick Utley), Loren (John Russell) and Christina Bogart of Yukon, Oklahoma; and his sisters, Roberta (Bill Boydstun), Verlene Hughes of Boise City and Anita (Steve Reed). He is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

“I am so sorry to learn of Daryl's passing. I worked with him at the Oakland (CA) Police Dept. in the early 1970's, and I found him to be personable, conscientious, and perhaps most importantly for any police officer, an outstanding, hard-working cop. Daryl and I had an instant connection because we were both originally from Oklahoma, and we shared many jokes and insults over our "Okie" roots. I haven't talked to him in years, but I miss him like it was yesterday. God Bless! -Frank Mellott-”
