He was predeceased by: his parents, J. Dawson Houk and Elsie Houk (Headlee); his sister Eleanor Wesner (Houk); his brother-in-law Ron Wesner; and his brother Paul Houk.
He is survived by: his close friends, Charlie Williams, Pat Hallren and Jim Slater; his wife Carolyn; his children, Tom Pearson (Cynthia), Dorothy "Dottie" Pearson, Joe (Kimberly), Sarah Elizabeth Young (Ben) and Carrie McCray (Chuck); and his grandchildren, Connor Pearson (Joella), Madison Pearson, Drew, Austin, Alex Houk, Rachel, Anna, Zoe, Mia Young, Rylee, Ellie and Ty McCray.
Memorial donations may be made to the Fairview Masonic Lodge or the Fairview 1st United Methodist Church with Fairview Funeral Home, Inc. serving as custodian of the funds.
