It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maxine Hughes of Fairfax, Oklahoma, born in Pampa, Texas, who passed away on May 29, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, R. D. Dennis and Lucille Dennis; her husband Bob; her sister Geri Hall; and her great grandchild Holden Peckenpaugh.
She is survived by: her children, Carl Hughes (Sherry) of Fairfax, Shirley Peckenpaugh (Loris) of Skedee and Vickie Bump (Steve) of Tulsa; her grandchildren, Russell Hughes (Kristie), Sharla Van Winkle (Cal), Shelly Bump (Scott Baker), Lee Peckenpaugh (Mary), Stacy Womack (Jimmy) and Tracy Nesselrode (Robert); her sister Patricia Tadlock; and her siblings-in-law, Jim Hughes, Judy McKee and Betty Jackson. She is also survived by "Granny" by her six grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
