It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Burling of Fairfax, Oklahoma, who passed away on February 18, 2025, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Evelyn Burling to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Augustus Franklin and Elsie Martha Franklin (Mensch); her husband Frank Gordon Burling; and her siblings, Ronald Franklin and Catherine Juanita Avery.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Burling (Debbie) of Tulsa, John Burling (Dee Ann) of Oklahoma City, David Burling of Fairfax and Linda Blanchard of Fairfax; her brother Earl Franklin (Betty) of Tulsa; her sister-in-law Wanda Franklin of Dallas; her grandchildren, Stacie McFarlin (Kris), Amy Burling, Melissa Black (Cary), Johnathan Burling (Alexis), Nicholas Burling and Sonya Blanchard; and her great grandchildren, Blake Apfelbacher, Ainsley McFarlin, Emma Blanchard, Grace Burling and Emmeline Black. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hunsaker Wooten Funeral Home (201 N 4th St, Fairfax, OK 74637). A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 at 3:15 PM at the Fairfax City Cemetery (600 S 8th St, Fairfax, OK 74637).
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made to Evelyn's church in her name.
