He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Theophus and Cora Carter (Lucas); and his siblings, Junior Carter, Daisy McCormack and Mildred Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Graves; and his stepdaughters, Debra Sanders of Tulsa, OK and Sheila Graham of Destin, FL. He is also survived by three step grandchildren; and four step great grandchildren.
