He is survived by: his wife Kathy Smith; his children, James Albert Smith of Shawnee, OK, Mona Smith of Sapulpa, OK and Jenelle Smith of Shawnee, OK; and his sisters, Clare, Verna of Pauls Valley, OK and Esther of Oklahoma CIty, OK. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
