He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer McMurdy and Verna May McMurdy (Barton); and his brothers, Martin and Jack McMurdy. He is survived by: his children, Donald McMurdy, Wanda Emerick, Gwen Bare and Jackie McMurdy; and his siblings, Robert "Bob" McMurdy, Shirley Gartner, Carol Ross and Dixie Frabasilio. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
