She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Newman and Mae Newman (Slate); her daughter Rhonda Lynn Paton; her brothers, Bob and Bill Newman; her husband Jerry Melton; and her sister Bonnie Hoover.
She is survived by: her sons, Ty Jones of Oklahoma City and Nicholas Espinosa of California. She is also survived by step-children, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
