He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Lester and Mamie Bryan Hobbs (Hance); his sisters, Faye Swearingen and Sue Soule; and his former wife Lavell (Parson).
He is survived by: his son Lionel (Deb) of Carnegie, OK; his wife Betty Turner (Baker); his daughter Linda Brookshire (Doug); his sister Billie Wallingford of Newalla, OK; and his stepchildren, Craig Emmert, Leon Turner (Jyl) and Candace Habekott. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren.
