He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carl Burrows and Ruthie Burrows (Cunningham); his friends, Gary Madison, Hughes, Vernon Mayfield, Mike Stowers and Valerie Farris; his wife Katy Burrows of Cordell, OK; his children, Mark Burrows (Shelli) of Erick, OK, Jim Burrows (Staci) of Stillwater, OK, Lynne Walker (Bryan) of Hammon, OK, Brett Burrows of Weatherford, OK, Kyle Burrows (Jacy) of Weatherford, OK and Brooke Higgins (Mike) of Hammon, OK; his grandchildren, Hunter Burrows (Mari Ryan), Ryder Burrows, Nicholas Borynack (Vanessa), Mitchell Borynack, Kenedie Walker, Brock Carter and Jolie; his brothers, Forrest Joe Burrows, Amarillo and Geary Don Burrows (Mary) of Sayre, OK.; and his close friends, Chanda Powers of Cordell, OK. and Danielle Ivey of Cordell, OK..
He also was instrumental in starting the Cordell Academic Foundation and he was appointed to the Washita County Excise and Equalization Board in 2004 by the Oklahoma Tax Commission, where he served until his passing.
