He is survived by: his mother Viva Barnes Bowers; his grandsons, Peyton and Landon; his wife Helen; his children, Steve Kurtz, Cindy Bay (Bryan), Kristen Craig, Jennifer Bowers and Derick Bowers (Alyssa); and his siblings, Mike Bowers, Connie Schroeder, Beverly Wallace, Verna Judd and Cindy McCullum. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
