He is survived by: his wife Sharon Whitmore; his daughters, Kristen, Kayla and Heather; his siblings-in-law, Jeanine Deterding (Jim), Judi Whitmore, Pam Lautt and Clay Whitmore; and his cousin Terry Stromsodt.
The family asks that memorials be given in his honor to the American Heart Association with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
