It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vera Smith (Enid, Oklahoma), born in Miami, Oklahoma, who passed away on April 30, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Gilbert Draper and Florence Edith Draper (Hull); her brother Allan Draper; and her brother-in-law James Joseph Elrod. She is survived by: her former husband Charles B. Elrod; her daughters, Debbie and Sherri; her husband Bill of Enid; her daughters, Deborah Ann Owen (Paul) of Arkansas City, KS and Sheryl Diane Elrod Heitman of Enid, OK; her stepdaughter Shelly Stillwell of Moore, OK; her siblings, Donna Unruh (Bill) of Enid, OK and James Draper Jr. (Trish) of Joplin, MO; her sister-in-law Delores Elrod of Enid, OK; her grandchildren, Shawnea Stewart (Doug), Matthew Owen (Crystal Shewbart) and Bradford Owen (Priscilla Parker); her great grandchildren, Darnel, Destiny, Darius, Danae, Douglas Stewart II, Meya Brown-Stewart, Aidan, Kyran and Julian Owen; her great great grandchild Dezmon Stewart; and her pets, Yogi, Smokey, BooBoo and Bennie. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
