He was predeceased by: his parents, Dewey Butterfield and Goldie Butterfield; his siblings-in-law, Evelyn Butterfield, LeRoy Wach, Tom Guennewig and Richard Matheson; and his granddaughter-in-law Kara Regier.
He is survived by: his wife Mildred Matheson; his grandchildren, Tashia Butterfield, Nathanel Butterfield (Noelani), Jacob Regier (Cindy), Micah Regier (Amber), Tifany Butterfield, Shane Butterfield, Matthew Butterfield (Hannah), Rev. Nathan Butterfield (Alexis) and Joel Butterfield; his siblings, Raymond Butterfield and Dorothy Gordon (Arlo); and his sisters-in-law, Margaret Lou Wach and Barbara Guennewig. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
