He was predeceased by: his wife Doris Cunningham (Thurman); his parents, Herman Cunningham and Annie Cunningham (Jennings); and his siblings, Alvin Cunningham and Flois Reed Bischel (Cunningham).
He is survived by: his children, Patti Swier (Cunningham) of Huntsville, AL., Wayne Cunningham of Aurora, Colorado, Terri Findley (Cunningham) of Edmond, OK and Thomas Swier (Michael Findley); his grandchildren, Dana Huff (Swier) of Worcester, MA., Lara Fondulis (Swier) of Cibolo, TX., Matthew Findley of Villa Rica, GA., Martin Cunningham of Great Falls, MT., Rebecca Robison (Findley) of Richmond, TX. and Amy Hardin (Findley) of Bellville, TX.; and his sisters, Nelda Gene Morris (Cunningham) and Carolyn Cunningham of Lockney, TX. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
Due to Coronavirus restrictions, a celebration of Udell's life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Honor Flight Network at honorflight.org to enable more veterans to visit Washington, DC as he was able to do in 2012.
