He was predeceased by: his mother Marie Trantina McMurry; and his wife Cheri McMurry. He is survived by: his father Glen McMurry; his former spouse Nikki Quarles; his son-in-law Matthew; his daughter Andrea (Matthew Blakley); the parent of his child Nikki Quarles; and his siblings, Glen Jr. (Caroline McMurry), Terri (Joe Austin), Tammy (John Dobbins) and Brian (Denise McMurry). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the "SCOTT MCMURRY SCHOLARSHIP FUND" that will be created to allow Andrea to keep his name and memory alive, while blessing a graduating student with funds to further their education with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
