He was predeceased by: his parents, William Melvin and Lois Beckner Melvin; and his brother Bill. He is survived by: his wife Freddie Mae; his sons, Lee (Tangy Melvin) and Brandon (Julie Melvin); his stepsons, Alvin and Fred Grantz; his brother Larry Melvin; his pets, Cocoa, Buddy and Little Bit; and also Anita Readnour. He is also survived by four grandchildren, and one great grandson.
