He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Duel and Nellie Bannon Shortnacy; and his siblings, Maggie, Helen and Luther.
He is survived by: his children, Roy Shortnacy (Sherry) and Brenda Shortnacy; his grandchildren, Kayla, Tyler, Monica (Shaquille) and Zach (Caitlyn); his great grandchildren, Demarqus and Kenric; and his sisters, Beth, Debbie, Lois, Joyce and Sue.
Memorials may be made in his his honor to Humanity Hospice with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
