He was predeceased by: his parents, Alva Robert and Bertha A. Shelton (Cox); and his son Richard. He is survived by: his wife Earlyne Thompson; his son Stan; his granddaughters, April Martin (Chad) and Morgan Shelton (Alvin Grants); his great grandchild Aspen Milledge; his sister-in-law Darlene Thompson; and his caregivers, Billy and Linda Rehder.
