He was predeceased by: his parents, George Lawson and Betty Lawson (Kelley); his wife Lila Marie Meritt; his brother Robert; and his grandson Trenton Shaffer.
He is survived by: his children, Kellie Pitts (David) of Seminole, OK, Chris Lawson of Enid, Cory Lawson of Enid and Yvone Young of Enid; his grandchildren, Kelsie Pitts of Seminole and Kiersten McCormick (Aaron) of Seminole; his great grandchildren, Lila and Levi; and his sister Ethel Lawson of Enid. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
