He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Hughs and Rosa; his son Gary Bledsoe; and his sisters, Patsy Nix and Charlotte Schultz.

He is survived by: his children, Gregg Bledsoe (Diana) of Bison, Kevin Bledsoe (Karen) of Bixby and Kelli Miller (Brett) of Enid; his grandchildren, Brice Bledsoe (Cambria), Katlyn Costello (Mike), Brady Miller (Rachel), Brandon Miller (Virginia) and Kody Miller (Candace); and his siblings, Sue Conrady, Joy Harrison and Bob Bledsoe. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.

Memorials may be made in his honor to the Enid SPCA with Brown-Cummings serving as custodian of the funds.
