It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leon Dale Schmidt (Enid, Oklahoma), who passed away on May 21, 2019, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son Russell Schmidt; his stepson Alan McCray; his grandchildren, Jamie Schmidt and Jeremy Baxter; his son-in-law David Whyburn; and his brothers, Leroy Schmidt and Gary Schmidt.
He is survived by: his spouse Vaughna Easterling; his daughters, Kim Whyburn of Edmond and Jo Hammer (Hoby) of Fairview; his stepson Kevin McCray (Mary) of Carmen; his daughter-in-law Tammie Schmidt of Clinton; and his sister-in-law Jean Schmidt of Midlothian, Texas. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
