He was predeceased by: his parents, James Slavin and Margie Stout Slavin; his brother Larry Slavin; and his niece Johanna. He is survived by: his wife Sonja Slavin; his daughters, Angie (Ed Barns) of Jenks and Christy Slavin of Enid; his grandchildren, Brittany (Cyle Abbott) of Jenks, Brieanne Mullenix (Jesse Cartwright) of Enid, Mikaela Barns of Norman, Colton Barns of Kansas City and Brendan Barns of Guymon; his great grandchild Cole Alan Abbott of Jenks; his brothers, Albert Slavin of Lawton and Gary Slavin of Waukomis; and his pets, Spencer and Macy.
Memorial donations in John's name may be made to the DAV of Oklahoma.
