With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jim Olis Hess of Enid, Oklahoma, born in Timbo, Arkansas, who passed away on December 21, 2022 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carsie Taylor and Mary Jeff Hess (Anderson); his wife Lucy Averitt; his children, Ann and Bill; his grandson Sam; and his siblings, Ima Jo and John.
He is survived by: his children, Brandi, Joe Akin, Julie, Bob Ward and Jon Leigh; his grandchildren, Renee Lange, Mackenzie (Greg), Tresha (Justin), Lacie (Aaron), Alix (Aaron), Wes (Hannah), Amanda and Billy (Hailey); and his great grandchildren, Emily, Cash, Lucy, Hollis, Maryella, Kingston, Mattox, Claire, Creede, Bricelynn, Porter, Eleanor and Charlotte. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church School.
