He was predeceased by: his wife Zaida Ruiz. He is survived by: his parents, Lopez Del Torro and Noemi Gonzalez Sambolin; and his children, Zenaida Aviles Ruiz, Kengiria Lopez Ruiz, Heriberto Lopez Ruiz and Roberto Lopez Ruiz. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
