He was predeceased by: his parents, Gehyman "Pete" Byron and Helen Pauline Howard (Boehm); and his former wife Alice Marie Montgomery. He is survived by: his wife Deborah Cox; his sons, Paul Howard, David Howard and Luke Howard; and his sister Shirley Young. He is also survived by six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren.
