It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eleanor Jenkins of Enid, Oklahoma, born in Cherokee, Oklahoma, who passed away on November 28, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William Shelman and Serena Shelman (Tharp); her sons, William and Gary Jenkins; her sisters, Marie Payne and Barbara Ball; her nephew Jim Ball; and her close friend Bob Cates.
She is survived by: her daughters, Terecia Jenkins of Enid and Patricia Wegener (Billy Joe) of Enid; her granddaughters, Alicia Robison (Garen) of Okeene, OK, Shanda Hay (Ron) of Enid and Whitney Unruh (Jason) of Enid; and her great grandchildren, Grant, Hunter, Baylea, Taylor, Hudson and Hadley. She is also survived by two nieces, a nephew and other family and friends.
Memorial contributions in Irene's name may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation Alzheimer's Division with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
