With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eldon W. Ames of Enid, Oklahoma, born in Mooreland, Oklahoma, who passed away on March 6, 2024 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Weber Durant and Blanche Willie Ames (Lintner); his siblings, Albert Ames and Dea Fields; and his brother-in-law Gary Fields.
He is survived by: his nieces and nephews, Sherri, Ken Hines, Steve, Kay Fields, Stacey, Terri Fields, JC and Gina Carroll; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kelli, Amy, Brad Hines, Ben Fields, Bryce Carroll, Isaac Fields and Eli Fields; and his sister-in-law Carolyn Ames. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Enid Arts Council with the Billings Funeral Home, 1621 Downs Avenue, Woodward, OK. 73801 accepting the contributions.
