She was predeceased by: her son Robert Donald Cummings; her parents, Adolf Igogeit and Elizabeth Igogeit; and her siblings, Dietmar Igogeit and Christel Obst.

She is survived by: her sons, Charles C. Cummings (Beverly) and Jack L. Cummings, Jr. (Selwyn); her grandchildren, Robby Cummings and Heather Long; her siblings, Gerd Igogeit of Hameln and Ute Rief of Berlin Germany; and her nieces and nephews, Franke Igogeit, Fabian Rief, Christine Seideman (Wolfgang) of Leer and Nadine Igogeit of Berlin, Germany..

“I am very sorry for your loss, Charles. I didn't have enough time with Aunt Doris but I can still see her beautiful freckled face, her gorgeous red hair, her warm and welcoming smile and those magnificent blues that looked like they were on fire. And, I absolutely loved when she called my name with her fascinating German accent. When she called my name (Wayne) it always came out as "Vayne". I loved it. She also called me Shetzyen. Excuse my spelling. I think I preferred that. 918-720-2778.”
