He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Hartling and Marjorie Hartling (Livingston); his wife Anita Hartling; and his grandson Micheal Lee. He is survived by: his children, Cliff Boland (Jo), Dick Hartling, Mitchell Hartling and Sharlyn Boland; his grandchildren, Cain Hartling, Dustin Conrady, Cory Conrady, Tracee Ann Tabor and Rashel Dalegowski; his great grandchildren, Evelyn Grace, Miles, Zander, Ayden, Bailey, Liam, James and Connor; and his brothers, Gary and Jack Hartling.

Memorials may be made in his honor to the American Diabetes Association with Brown-Cummings Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
