He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Joan Chaffin (Tinker); his brothers, Charles Chaffin and Carl Leonard Chaffin; his brothers-in-law, Frank Shankle and Ned Cook; and his nephews, Dan Allen Chaffin, Kenneth Shankle and Kyle Kirkpatrick.

He is survived by: his children, Doug Chaffin (Susan) of Alva and Gayla Becker (Bud) of Enid; his siblings, Dean Chaffin (Lola) of Mojave, Harry Chaffin (Karin) of Palmyra, Neb, Louis Chaffin (Cindy) of Tahlequah, Mary Shankle of Hulbert, Geraldine Yochum (Paul) of Tahlequah, Dorothy Gilliam (Gary) of Tahlequah and Lynda Cook of Hulbert; his grandchildren, Greg Chaffin (Kim) of Marion, Jeremy Chaffin (Kasey) of Ada, Dustin Chaffin (Harley) of Perryville and Zach Chaffin (Jennifer) of Alva; and his great grandchildren, Drake, Gregory, Brenden, Owen and Mason. He is also survived by the grandkids and great grandkids.

Memorial contributions may be made through the funeral home to the Hospice Circle of Love.
