He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence "Darvin" Hern and Lila Maxine Hern (Dark); his son Chad Douglas Hern; his grandchildren, Kamryn Renee Hern and Lane Tucker Hern; and his brother-in-law Darrell Blaine Schmitz.
He is survived by: his sister Sheryl Schmitz; his nieces and nephews, Michele, Misty, Matt, Cody, Kimber, Cooper, Kinzley, Jennifer, Rusty, Russ, Garrett, Darian, Lawren and Tanner; his grandsons, Junior of Enid, Logan of Tonkawa, Landon, Levi of Blackwell and Colton of Medford; his children, Jessie (Medford) and Laci; and his granddaughter Tonya.
A graveside service was held on Saturday, March 15th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Rosemound Cemetery.
