He is survived by: his wife Wanda Avery; his children, Carla Rosenbaum, Duane Avery (Shauna Scrivner), Angela Patterson (Roger) and Bradley Avery; his grandchildren, Brian Curliss, Tracie Chambless (Jerry) and Cassie Evans (Jason); his great grandchild Landon Day; and his siblings-in-law, Lester Potts, Doris Chapman, Flora Kusch and Sherrie Bentz. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
