She was predeceased by: her parents, Delmar O'Neil and Erma O'Neil; her brother Jim O'Neil; her husband Gary Smith; her grandson Colton Smith; and her nephews, Blake Smith and Jason O'Neil.

She is survived by: her children, Krystal Jantz (Marvin) of Enid, Curt Smith (Cheryl) of Lenexa, KS and Barry Smith (Brenda) of Shawnee, OK; her grandchildren, Mallory, Meagan, Derek, Abigail, Zach, Liberty and Brandon; her great grandchildren, Kaden, Axton, Dallis, Jensen, Isabella, Madelyn, Jett, Emma and Levi; and her brother Bob O'Neil (Sherry).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Betty's honor to Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation Cancer Division or Hospice Circle of Love.

“I was 9 when Aunt Betty entered my life. Uncle Gary brought her to Grandad and Grandma's house when they first started dating. She was so pretty, so much fun. I don't remember being at their wedding but they came to the house after and there was a wedding cake and punch with sherbet in it. She has joined her beloved Gary and my mom and dad in heaven now. They are at a Honky Tonk together right now listening to Hank Thompson and the Brazos Valley Boys. Love you, your niece Gay”
