He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wichert and Elizabeth Wichert (Ollenberger). He is survived by: his wife Maxine Wichert of Enid; his children, Jerry Wichert (Jerilyn) of Hamburg, Michigan and Janice Peterson (Alan) of Enid; and his grandchildren, Kim, Kristy, Jeremy, Tanner and Emily. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends.

Memorial contributions in Alvin's name may be made to Bible Baptist Church or the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation for Alzheimers and Dementia research with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.
