He was predeceased by: his parents, Duie Dee and Mary Elizabeth Cox (McCoy); his granddaughter Kristen Michelle Cox; and his siblings, Charles William Cox, James Lee Cox, Jerry Don Cox, Paul Edward Cox, Betty Ann Cuesta and Connie Sue Merritt.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Seery (Terry) of Gladewater, TX, Michael Cox (Tammy) of Krum, TX, Gerald Cox (Kathy) of Manito, IL, Billy Cox (Britt) of Arlington, TX and Martha Cox (Anthony) of Quitman, TX; and his sister Linda Carlson of Elmore City, OK. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
