She was predeceased by: her parents, W. P. Dallas and Lucinda Dallas; and her siblings, Lando Dallas, Dorma Lee Johnson and Billie Sue Gowdy.
She is survived by: her husband Wendell Powell; her children, Susan Powell (Richard White) of New York City and Tom Powell of Killeen, Texas; her brother Franklin Dallas of Phoenix, Arizona; and her grandchildren, Linda and Kevin.
