The memory of Rebecca Ruth Smith (Elk City, Oklahoma), who passed away on February 11, 2025 at the age of 96, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Nettie Smith and Roy Smith; and her siblings, Maisie Flick, Roy C. Smith, Jr. and John J. Smith.
She is survived by: her nieces and nephews, Mary Graybill, Waletta Newton, Dawn Tisdale, Jan Warfield, Jay Flick and John David Smith; her great-nephew Justin Herndon; and also Deegon Herndon.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Martin-Dugger Funeral Home Chapel (600 W Country Club Blvd, Elk City, OK 73644). Waletta was there to help during her older years, packing and moving her from Clinton to assisted living in Elk City and, after the isolation of Covid took its toll, into Memory Care and finally, skilled nursing.
