It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Karen Fairchild of Elk City, Oklahoma, born in Beaumont, Texas, who passed away on February 26, 2022, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, L. B. Rice and Martha Dennis Rice; and her husband Steve Fairchild. She is survived by: her son Mark Fairchild (Misty) of Elk City; her grandchildren, Russell and Rozi; her daughter Katharine Hunt (Matt) of Lewisville; her grandchildren, Quinlan and Avinley; and her brothers, Randall Rice (Elizabeth) of Round Rock and Larry Rice (Joye) of New Braunfels, Texas. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and good friends.
