We are sad to announce that on November 27, 2020, at the age of 80, John David Rathbun of Elk City, Oklahoma, born in Chicago, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John David Rathbun, Sr. and Viva Pickett Rathbun; his siblings, Danny Rathbun and Nancy Manke; and his grandson Justin Thompson.

He is survived by: his wife Alyce Mouat Rathbun; his children, Rhonda Thompson (Monte) of Chetek, Rita Thisius (Dan) of Wells and John Rathbun, III (Amy) of Crandall; his stepson Steve Soule; his grandchildren, Joseph Thompson (Melissa), Jordon Thompson (Megan), Monte Thompson (Heather), Dylan Thisius (Kristeena), Brady Thisius (Lorraine), Linsey Thisius, Levi Thisius, William Soule', Katherine Soule', Lauren Rathbun and Harley Williams; his great grandchildren, Aidan, Owen, Arianna, Jeremiah, Quintin, Jonessa, Abraham Thompson and Ellis Thisius; and his sisters, Lynn Gilbertson (Larry) and Sally Ball-Norris (Will).

Due to Covid, Johnny's service will be family only.
