He was predeceased by: his parents, Benjamin Franklin Courtney and VaLeana Courtney (Moorhead); and his siblings, Jess, Clarence, George, Goldie, Ethel, Ann, Ruth and Edna.
He is survived by: his spouse Neita Mae Craig; his children, David Courtney (Teana) of Barling, Leslie Courtney (Juanita) of Elk City, Larry Courtney (LuElla) of El Reno, Oklahoma, Terry Courtney of Elk City and Brenda Adkins (Ray) of Sayre, Oklahoma; and his sister Helen Jo Chester of Elk City. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and seventeen great great grandchildren.
