He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Tim, Helen Cockrell, Robert and Ima Bachmann; his brother Gary Don Cockrell; and his father Donald Cockrell.
He is survived by: his sons, Coby Cockrell of Cheyenne and Jace Clayton of Weatherford; his mother Yvonne Cockrell of Durham; his brother Joey Cockrell (Tammy) of Durham; and his nephews, Cannon and Colter Cockrell.
