He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleave Newton and Villey Pearl Reed (Stephens); his siblings, Alvie Joe Reed and Joy Bell Smith; his brother-in-law Smitty Smith; his nephew Carl Jean Reed; and his niece Brenda Bryan.
He is survived by: his former spouses, Kay Mutschler and Pasty McClure; his spouse Beverly Lynch; his children, Chyrl Reed, Mary Bell, Jason Reed and Preston Reed; his siblings, L. G. Reed, Dora Fay Bryan and Sherry Carpenter; his close friend Linda Stephens; his grandchildren, Kayla, Casey, Amber, Stephine, Colton, Bradon and Addalyn; and his great grandchildren, Paisley, Tobias, Kaseton, Jameson, Annastyn, Odin and Addilyn.
