It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Herman Pinkard of Elgin, Oklahoma, born in Mexia, Texas, who passed away on September 16, 2021, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jewel Gee Jones and Roddie Pinkard; and his brothers, Jewell Gee Jones (Dewain) and Roddie Pinkard. He is survived by: his wife Helen Pinkard; his sons, Elmo Simmons, Patrick Pinkard (Susan) and Herman Pinkard Jr. (Jeffrey); his stepsons, Reggie Miles and Raphael Williams; his grandchildren, Tadarius Pinkard, Auryeal Parker and Payton Pinkard; his great grandchildren, Tadarius Pinkard Jr., MaKenli Pinkard, Karson Pinkard and Kaybrin Pinkard; and his siblings, Bill Jones, Charles "Sugar" Jones, Albert Jones, Betty Harris, Rosie Gipson and Brenda Kirven. He is also survived by extended family and friends.
