He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul D. Eakins and Mary J. Eakins (Young); and his brother Daniel. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Higganbotham; his children, Billie Anne (Bob Whipp), Robert (Lisa Eakins) and Janet (Jeremy MacDougall); his grandchildren, Brittney Lord (Levi Glover), James Eakins, Emmalyn Eakins, Bobby, Amber Whipp, Ashliegh, Nick Smith and Megan McGee; and his great grandchildren, Bow Glover, Judson, Easton Whipp, Ellie and Coleson Smith. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews & special friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 15th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 16th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Elgin Funeral Home (602 A St, Elgin, OK 73538). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 17th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Paradise Valley Baptist Church (4974 Meers Porter Hill Rd, Lawton, OK 73507).
