He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Knol; his parents, Wiebe Knol and Opal Knol; his siblings, Edwina Chandler and Jake Knol; his daughter Cathy Hicks; and his granddaughter Marci Wintz.
He is survived by: his former wife Mildred Ricker (Millie); and his children, Gerald (Jayne), Cynthia Wintz (Billy) and Garry (Brenda). He is also survived by grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
