He was predeceased by: his wife Lois Ruth Stucky; and his parents, Gustav Waechter and Mandy Toungate. He is survived by: his children, Steven Lloyd Waechter (Mary) of Salina and Sheryl Lynn Nance (Steve) of Edmond; and his grandchildren, Joshua Nance of Prescott, Jennifer Buxton of Yukon, Ruthie Watkins of Jenks, Nikki Quick of Lubbock, Tate Waechter of Salado and Andrew Nance of Edmond. He is also survived by his family and also by all his friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Crawford Family Funeral & Cremation Service (610 NW 178th St, Edmond, OK 73012). A reception was held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be sent to the International Mission Board (imb.org) in Walt's memory.
